About Protein Structure Prediction
Protein structure prediction is a key component in understanding protein function and interactions. Using advanced deep learning models, we can now predict the three-dimensional structure of proteins from their amino acid sequences with unprecedented accuracy.
How It Works
Our system utilizes OpenFold, an open-source implementation inspired by AlphaFold2, to predict protein structures. The model analyzes the amino acid sequence and predicts the most likely 3D conformation based on physical and evolutionary principles.
Using the Results
The predicted structures are provided in PDB (Protein Data Bank) format, which can be viewed in any standard molecular visualization software. These structures can be used for:
- Understanding protein function
- Drug discovery and design
- Studying protein-protein interactions
- Research into genetic disorders
